Innovation Celebrated as Open Banking Expo Awards 2025 Winners Revealed

The Open Banking Expo Awards 2025 celebrated the organisations and individuals driving excellence across Open Banking, Open Finance, and payments, with winners unveiled at a ceremony in London. The awards, now in their fourth year, recognised outstanding contributions across 17 categories, highlighting the sector’s maturity in regulatory alignment, payments innovation, and social impact.

The strong cohort of winners included fintechs, incumbent players, and industry partnerships that are setting new benchmarks for open ecosystems.

Key winners across the ecosystem

The awards showcased success stories across technical execution, customer experience, and social purpose.

Among the winners in core categories were:

  • Best Team: D•One by ClearScore
  • Best Regulatory Open Banking Initiative: Ozone API
  • Best Customer Experience: Acquired.com
  • Best Open Banking Payments Project – Commercial: MoneySuite

Pioneering collaborations were also acknowledged, with Fumopay and Big Issue taking home the award for Open Banking for Good, and Raidiam & obconnect securing Best Anti-Fraud Solution.

Celebrating leadership and industry pioneers

Individual excellence was also recognised in the Women in Open Banking category, where Rosheen Fischer of TrueLayer was named Woman of the Year, and Tigana Sari of Allica Bank received the Rising Star award.

The event’s highest individual honour, the Ted Sidgwick Pioneer Award, was presented to Ralph Bragg, founder of Raidiam, for his foundational contributions to the sector.

Kelly Stanley, co-founder and director of Open Banking Expo, praised the progress demonstrated by this year’s winners. “Each year, the awards shine a light on the progress being made across the ecosystem, and this year’s winners demonstrate just how far the sector has come,” Stanley said. “From regulatory alignment and payments innovation, to inclusive design and social impact, these winners are not only innovating—they’re setting new benchmarks for what’s possible in Open Banking and Open Finance.”

The final award decisions were made by an expert panel of over 30 industry leaders, with categories spanning Open Banking Payments, data and security, partnerships, and diversity.
