Triple Point has originated a £55 million facility for Perch Group, the Blackpool-headquartered credit management business, as part of an enhanced £400 million funding platform intended to support continued UK growth and technology investment. The deal, announced on 7 October 2026, adds Triple Point to a lending panel that already includes NatWest Group, Hampshire Trust Bank, Shawbrook Bank, Paragon Bank and Lloyds. Quilam Capital, an early backer, remains a material equity investor in the business.
Founded in 2016, Perch has expanded from a regional start-up into a group with more than 500 employees, over one million customers under management and assets under management exceeding £1 billion. The group operates across the full credit management lifecycle through five subsidiaries: debt purchaser Perch Capital, customer engagement specialist ACI UK, field services provider Verify, SRA-regulated law firm TM Legal and outsourced contact centre business Perch Connect. Combining those capabilities under a single ownership structure is central to the firm’s positioning.
The deal

Ellis Diamanti, head of specialty finance at Triple Point, described Perch as “a genuine UK growth story, built outside London into one of the country’s leading credit management platforms with a ten-year track record.” He added that Triple Point looks forward to supporting the business as it enters its next phase of development.

Mark Pickup, chief financial officer at Perch Group, said the expanded funding package “provides a strong foundation for future growth as we continue investing in technology and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.” The company did not provide further detail on the specific technology projects the capital will fund, nor did it disclose the individual loan tenors or pricing within the £400 million platform.
Fieldfisher LLP acted as legal adviser to Perch Group. Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised Triple Point and Ashurst Perkins Coie LLP advised the senior lending syndicate.
Market context
The UK debt purchasing and credit management sector has attracted significant institutional capital over the past several years, with lenders drawn to the combination of relatively predictable cash flows from purchased debt portfolios and the regulatory clarity provided by the FCA‘s consumer credit regime. The FCA’s Consumer Duty rules, which came into full effect in 2023 and extended to closed products in 2024, have placed heightened obligations on credit management firms to demonstrate good outcomes for customers in financial difficulty. Perch’s integrated structure, which brings legal, field and contact centre capabilities in-house, is partly a response to that compliance environment: owning the full customer journey reduces reliance on third-party agents and gives the firm more direct control over conduct risk.
For Triple Point, the facility extends the firm’s specialty finance book, which sits alongside its clean energy, social housing and ventures strategies within an approximately £2.5 billion under-management platform. Specialty credit origination in the consumer debt purchasing space requires deep sector knowledge to assess portfolio quality, and the deal signals Triple Point’s appetite to compete with more established credit fund managers in this corner of the private credit market.
The breadth of the senior lending syndicate, spanning high-street names and specialist challenger banks, reflects the maturity Perch has reached as a borrower and the confidence that multiple regulated institutions have placed in its underwriting and collections model. The next indicators to watch are the pace at which Perch deploys the expanded facility into new portfolio purchases and the specific technology build-out it funds, both of which will shape whether the group can sustain AUM growth beyond the £1 billion mark.
