TBC Uzbekistan, part of the London-listed TBC Bank Group, has entered the InsurTech space with the launch of a fully digital insurance product, further expanding its digital financial ecosystem.
The new service is available through the TBC UZ banking app and begins with credit life insurance, according to FF News.
The company plans to roll out additional personal insurance products in the future. Since its soft launch in April 2025, more than 140,000 policies have already been issued.
Led by Ekaterina Lotuashvili, a seasoned insurance executive with 25 years of experience including at Lloyd’s of London, TBC Insurance aims to simplify and digitalise the insurance process for Uzbek consumers.
TBC Uzbekistan CEO Nika Kurdiani said, “We see insurance as a natural extension of the TBC Uzbekistan ecosystem – a product that empowers customers to feel more secure and in control of their financial lives. With the launch of TBC Insurance, we’re continuing to thoughtfully expand our digital banking ecosystem, ensuring each new product complements the others and enhances the overall value we deliver to our customers. Insurance will be a key part of this journey, helping to deepen engagement and strengthen trust in the ecosystem.”
