On-demand pay provider DailyPay launched âFrontline Communicationsâ, a new solution integrated into its app to improve workplace engagement for hourly employees. The feature, set for an autumn release, expands the companyâs suite of tools for the hourly workforce.
The tool addresses the communication challenges employers face with hourly and deskless workforces. According to the company, traditional email is often ineffective for this demographic due to varied shift patterns, making it difficult to share company news or manage shift swaps.
Integration with a high-engagement platform
The new communication tools are integrated directly into the DailyPay app. The company states that workers visit the app one to two times per day to check their earned wage balance, and it aims to improve internal messaging by using this existing high-traffic channel.
To support its position as a high-engagement platform, the company cited a commissioned study which ranked DailyPay as the top-adopted financial wellness benefit. The study also found that 55 per cent of employers polled place it in their top three most engaged-with benefits.
A focus on employee engagement
A key objective of the new solution is to help employers increase employee engagement and reduce absenteeism. In its announcement, DailyPay pointed to research from Gallup which indicates that highly engaged business units experience 78 per cent less absenteeism.
âWith our expanded capabilities, DailyPay is solidifying its role as the ultimate employee motivator, becoming the glue that facilitates a productive and meaningful relationship between employers and employees, giving employees real-time access to their already earned pay,â said Carly Brush, svp and general manager for on-demand pay and HCM at DailyPay. âBy helping to improve the internal communication, we can play a critical role in boosting employee engagement and productivity which is a win-win for all.â
The new communication feature joins a broader suite of financial wellness tools available on the DailyPay platform, including cash back offers, a credit health product, and savings jars, as the company continues to build its app for hourly workers.
