FintechOS, an AI company catering to financial services, has officially earned the Solutions Partner with certified software designation for Financial Services AI from Microsoft.
The certification validates that the newly launched FintechOS 8 platform meets Microsoft’s rigorous standards for interoperability, security architecture, governance, responsible AI controls, and enterprise-grade performance.ty, security architecture, governance, responsible AI controls, and enterprise-grade performance.
This development represents a significant milestone for the company, reflecting a strategic evolution from a traditional financial Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider into an AI-first organisation. Over the past two years, the firm has fundamentally rearchitected its entire system from the ground up around AI-fluent operations, rather than simply layering new artificial intelligence features onto legacy products. According to the firm, these newly certified capabilities are essential for financial institutions seeking to transition their AI initiatives out of isolated experimental pilots and into fully regulated, production-grade environments.

Over the past 18 months, FintechOS has worked closely alongside Microsoft to align its systems with interoperability, security, and responsible AI standards on the Microsoft Azure network.

Teo Blidarus, CEO and co-founder of FintechOS, emphasised the necessity of this operational shift. He stated that AI in financial services cannot remain confined to pilots and isolated use cases. Blidarus explained that FintechOS 8 brings AI-fluent Unified Product Operations to financial institutions, creating a platform where products, workflows, governance, and AI operate as one cohesive system. He noted that the Microsoft certification serves as external validation of the architecture’s maturity and the company’s commitment to helping banks and insurers operationalise AI responsibly rather than just experimentally.
Patrice Amann, EMEA regional leader of worldwide financial services at Microsoft, welcomed the integration. Amann commented that earning this certified software designation helps partners stand out in the market and demonstrates proven capabilities in areas of high customer demand, specifically for cloud-based solutions.
Transforming banking origination
For the banking sector, the certified platform offers a core-agnostic Unified Origination solution. Typically, banks, credit unions, and building societies operate multiple origination stacks across various products and channels, resulting in sluggish product change cycles that can last nine to twelve months. This complexity forces origination processes to absorb roughly 25 to 30 per cent of digital banking transformation budgets, prompting over 60 per cent of banks to plan consolidations of these fragmented environments.
In response, FintechOS aims to create a reusable origination layer that connects product definition, eligibility, pricing, workflow, and decisioning into a single governed flow. Artificial intelligence is embedded directly into this origination process to automate complex data and document ingestion. Furthermore, it enables advanced personalisation and bundling, supporting consistent underwriting decisions while maintaining strict guardrails that ensure necessary human oversight and regulatory control.
Modernising legacy insurance cores
The platform also targets the insurance industry through its AI-Fluent Core Modernization offering. Insurers and Managing General Agents (MGAs) often operate policy, claims, billing, and servicing logic that is tightly embedded within legacy Policy Administration Systems (PAS). Because of this, even modest product or process changes can take months and require highly specialised expertise. Industry analysis indicates that between 40 and 60 per cent of insurance IT budgets are tied up merely maintaining and changing these core systems, which severely limits investment capacity for new automation and AI capabilities.
To solve this, the FintechOS platform externalises product logic, workflows, decisioning, and servicing from legacy cores into a composable policy operations layer. The system runs on top of existing PAS or progressively assumes core capabilities over time. This architecture enables governed AI automation for data ingestion, servicing decisions, and workflow orchestration without destabilising the underlying core systems.
