Future Blockchain Summit x Fintech Surge Returns to Dubai in October

The Future Blockchain Summit x Fintech Surge will return to Dubai Harbour from 12-15 October 2025, taking place during Expand North Star, the large-scale startup and investor event powered by GITEX GLOBAL. The summit is positioned as a key regional gathering for innovators, startups, regulators, and investors in the blockchain and fintech sectors.

Hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the event will serve as a unified platform for the blockchain, fintech, and Web3 ecosystems to connect with the wider technology and innovation community.

This year’s centrepiece will be the Digital Assets Forum, sponsored by YPAY. The forum will convene regulators, banks, investors, and innovators for a one-day deep dive into the new market structure of finance. Key topics on the agenda include central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and stablecoins, tokenised capital markets, cross-border regulation, and the role of artificial intelligence in risk and compliance.

Christoph Koster, chief executive officer of Ruya, the event’s headline sponsor, said: “We’re excited to take part in Fintech Surge and the Future Blockchain Summit in Dubai this year. These events provide an ideal platform to highlight how ethical Islamic Finance, fintech, and blockchain technologies come together to deliver integrated solutions.”

Connecting innovators with global capital

The four-day event will feature conference sessions with insights on policy, regulation, and enterprise adoption, alongside product showcases and live demonstrations. An investor matchmaking program will facilitate one-to-one meetings between founders and sources of global capital.

Startups exhibiting at the co-located Expand North Star event will be automatically enrolled in the Supernova Challenge, a large-scale startup pitch competition with a prize pool of $214,000.

A number of prominent leaders from the digital asset space are scheduled to speak at the summit, including Jimmy Su, chief security officer at Binance; Eric Piscini, chief executive officer of Hashgraph; Oliver Stauber, chief executive officer of KuCoin; Lily Liu, president of the Solana Foundation; and Kevin Lee, chief business officer at Gate.

The event will be co-located with several other major technology conferences, including GITEX GLOBAL, GITEX IMPACT, and Marketing Mania, as part of a wider week of technology and innovation events in Dubai.
