Zeidler delivers bespoke DORA training to executives

Zeidler Group has delivered a tailored training session on the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) to the senior management of a mid-sized investment firm in the European Union.

The session was led by Zeidler Group’s Elisa Forletta and Tara Dutta, focusing on the regulation that came into effect on 17 January 2025. DORA places ultimate responsibility for ICT risk oversight and compliance with operational resilience requirements on senior management.

The training outlined the need for executives to maintain the knowledge and skills required to evaluate ICT risks and understand their impact. Leaders were also reminded that ongoing training proportionate to their firm’s ICT risk exposure is a regulatory expectation.

Key topics included an overview of the DORA framework and its scope, detailed guidance on management responsibilities, and advice on embedding obligations within existing governance and operational strategies. The interactive format encouraged discussion of real-world scenarios and firm-specific issues, ensuring the training was directly applicable to the firm’s operations.

DORA introduces a harmonised framework for digital resilience across the EU, reflecting increased regulatory scrutiny of financial institutions. Senior management teams are expected to strengthen oversight mechanisms and mitigate ICT risks to achieve compliance.
