Viva.com, the first Tech Bank in Europe dedicated to businesses, has rolled out its Tap to Pay on iPhone service in Spain.
The launch allows Spanish merchants to accept contactless payments directly on an iPhone, removing the need for additional hardware or terminals, according to FF News.
The move expands Viva.com’s footprint in the contactless payments space and supports the growing demand for streamlined, flexible payment solutions across Europe.
This marks the 23rd European market where the company has introduced Tap to Pay on iPhone, reinforcing its strategic push to empower businesses with next-generation payment capabilities.
Viva.com provides a broad range of digital financial services and payment solutions aimed at enabling businesses to scale efficiently. The platform integrates a seamless banking experience with payment processing and has built a robust ecosystem of over 450 technology partners to support merchants across diverse industries.
The newly launched Tap to Pay feature allows Spanish businesses to accept all forms of contactless payments—credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and digital wallets—by simply using the Viva.com Terminal app on an iPhone XS or later running the latest iOS version. No extra hardware or card reader is required, enabling businesses to accept payments anywhere, from taxis and restaurants to mobile vendors and freelancers.
Tap to Pay on iPhone supports all major international card schemes, including Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and Diners. The solution leverages Apple’s built-in security features, ensuring customer data is protected and never stored on Apple servers.
The broader Viva.com platform includes All-in-One business solutions, offering instant onboarding, zero downtime, dynamic currency conversion, and support for over 40 payment methods. Merchants also benefit from 0% transaction fees when using the Viva.com business debit card, along with tools such as integrated fiscalisation and operational optimisation features designed to scale with their growth.
The launch further strengthens Viva.com’s position in the European FinTech landscape as it continues to bridge innovation with ease-of-use in digital payments.
Viva.com chief partnerships officer Harry Xenophontos said, “We continue expanding Tap to Pay on iPhone across Europe. Tap to Pay on iPhone in our Terminal app gives businesses of all sizes the freedom to accept payments anywhere, while our broader platform, powered by our financial services and our ecosystem of over 450 tech partners, enables scalable growth.”
