Parkin Company PJSC, Dubai’s leading provider of paid public parking facilities, has announced a strategic partnership with Secure Parking, a global smart mobility operator that manages over 1.2 million parking spaces across 13 countries. The collaboration aims to significantly accelerate the rollout of barrierless parking systems across the United Arab Emirates.
The partnership leverages Parkin’s massive scale and digital platform capabilities alongside Secure Parking’s two decades of local market knowledge and international operational expertise. Following a highly successful initial implementation, the companies have identified a potential pipeline of more than 60,000 parking spaces across the UAE for future collaboration.
City Walk serves as the blueprint
The alliance builds upon a fully integrated, operational barrierless parking system already deployed at City Walk in Dubai. The flagship implementation replaces traditional gated entry systems with advanced vehicle recognition technology and integrated remote payment.
By removing physical bottlenecks, the system enables seamless access while ensuring full regulatory compliance. Through the Parkin platform, motorists are provided with:
-
Real-time payment confirmations.
-
Clear tariff visibility and SMS notifications.
-
A structured grace period for payment settlement.
According to Parkin, the City Walk deployment demonstrates the company’s ability to roll out scalable, technology-led solutions that actively improve traffic flow and enhance the customer experience in dense, high-profile urban environments.
Integrating valet services and unified payments
Beyond self-parking infrastructure, the partnership is set to extend into the premium valet services segment. The companies are creating a fully integrated digital ecosystem that will allow customers to pay for Secure Parking valet services directly through the Parkin app and digital wallet.
As part of the agreement, Secure Parking will also manage and operate select Parkin-branded valet locations. By routing valet operations into Parkin’s existing digital payment ecosystem, the companies intend to create a unified parking journey from entry to premium service, underpinned by real-time transactions, digital transparency, and operational consistency.
Leadership perspectives
Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, emphasized the strategic importance of combining local scale with global expertise.
“By partnering with Secure Parking, we are bringing together the scale and sophistication of Dubai’s most advanced digital parking platform with proven global operational expertise,” Al Ali stated. “This collaboration accelerates our transition toward fully barrierless infrastructure and positions Parkin at the forefront of smart mobility innovation in the UAE.”
He added that the move is a clear step toward creating a scalable framework that directly supports the country’s wider smart city vision and sets a new benchmark for urban parking infrastructure.
Dr. Navin Valrani, Group Managing Director of Al Shirawi Group and CEO of Secure Parking UAE, noted that barrierless parking is quickly transitioning from a simple convenience into an essential piece of urban infrastructure.
“Barrierless parking is increasingly viewed as a foundational layer of smart city infrastructure, enabling real-time analytics, dynamic allocation and cross-network interoperability,” Dr. Valrani explained. “Through this partnership, Parkin’s digital platform capability will combine with Secure Parking’s global operational experience to create a scalable framework for public-private parking integration across the UAE.”
Scaling digital mobility
As Dubai’s largest parking operator, Parkin processed more than 70 million transactions in the first half of 2025 alone, managing approximately 229,000 paid parking spaces across the emirate under a long-term concession agreement. This latest expansion into barrierless and valet integration positions the joint venture as one of the most comprehensive public-private mobility collaborations currently underway in the region.
