Simplifying Payments in Europe: Mondu Announces Payin3 and Lemonway Partnerships

To strengthen its position in Europe and expand its distribution across the region, B2B payments firm and buy now pay later (BNPL) solutions provider, Mondu has announced two new partnerships with Payin3, the instalment payment provider, and Lemonway, a French modular payment solution that simplifies payments for marketplaces and alternative finance platforms.

Payin3

As a flexible payment provider to consumers in the Dutch market, Payin3 has partnered with Mondu to bring the same flexibility and smooth checkout experience to business buyers. Payin3’s CEO, Hans Langenhuizen, added, “Working with Mondu’s platform allows us to better serve our clients and address the increasing need to offer flexible payment solutions not only to private consumers, but also business buyers. We are thrilled to offer a holistic deferred payment solution that enables business growth for our business partners in the most seamless and secure way possible.”

Lemonway

Mondu has also partnered with Lemonway, a French modular payment solution that simplifies payments for marketplaces and alternative finance platforms.

B2B marketplaces are the fastest-growing B2B digital sales channel, estimated at more than €338billion in 2024. This growth is driven by manufacturing and distribution businesses seeking new digital opportunities to service customers and sell their products and services online.

The number of B2B marketplaces in Europe has grown from around 20 in 2010 to over 300 in 2024, reflecting a rapid expansion over the past decade. Companies adopting the B2B marketplace model are thriving, while those relying on outdated methods risk being left behind.

Serving them is a core part of Mondu’s value proposition for B2B commerce and aligns with Lemonway’s strengths.

“Our collaboration with Lemonway plays an important role in our mission to simplify and enhance B2B transactions for marketplaces and platforms across Europe. By combining our innovative payment solutions with Lemonway’s expertise, we are setting new standards in marketplace payments,” said Huffmann.

The acquisition of the EMI license in July 2024 has enabled Mondu to broaden its service offerings further while providing a secure and compliant framework for its operations across Europe. Following this significant milestone for the company and the previously announced strategic collaborations with global credit insurer Atradius and other leading payment services providers, Mondu keeps accelerating its mission to simplify B2B transactions for customers across Europe.
