The Payments Power 50 Reveals 2026 List Celebrating Global Payments Leaders

The Power 50 has unveiled the 2026 Payments Power 50, recognising 40 companies and 10 industry influencers for their contribution to the global payments industry.

Now in its second year, The Payments Power 50 recognises the companies and people doing serious work in one of the most competitive parts of the financial services ecosystem.

2026 cohort

This year’s Payments Power 50 reflects the scale and variety of the industry, with members working across payment orchestration, processing, acquiring, fraud prevention, identity, open banking, cross-border payments, embedded finance, compliance technology, digital wallets, infrastructure and settlement.

Companies on this year’s list includes Aevi, Compass Plus Technologies, Ecommpay, INFORM, Paymentology, ProgressSoft Corporation, sends, Sis ID, Sokin and XTransfer.

The list also recognises 10 industry influencers whose work continues to shape debate, share insight and push the payments industry forward, including David Birch, Theo Lau and David Parker.

Exciting time

Jason Williams, CEO of The Power 50, said: “Payments has always attracted big ideas, but the industry is now being judged on delivery. Can money move safely, quickly and reliably? Can businesses reduce failed transactions, protect customers, improve merchant performance and support new ways to pay and settle?

“That is what makes this year’s Payments Power 50 so exciting. The companies and individuals featured are not talking about payments from the sidelines. They are working on the systems, services and ideas that keep modern commerce moving.

“The Payments Power 50 is designed to recognise that work, bring the industry together and give the people shaping payments a platform throughout the year. Congratulations to everyone included in The Payments Power 50 2026.”
