A new private venture capitalist firm headquartered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), FIA Ventures, has officially launched.
Founded by Mohammed Saleem, who also founded global business events and consulting firm Trescon, FIA Ventures says it is committed to reshaping the venture capital landscape by empowering early-stage tech startups.
FIA Ventures plans to target four key investment sectors:
- Fintech
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Sustainability
- Cybersecurity
With a proven track record of investments in similar sectors, Saleem brings decades of experience and expertise to the table, enabling the investment firm to make thoughtful investments that contribute to industry transformation.
With a mission to drive innovation and sustainable growth, FIA Ventures plans to become a key player in identifying and supporting disruptive startups that address real-world challenges. The new VC firm plans to offer mentorship, strategic guidance, and access to its network of industry leaders to firms, alongside the expected financial support.
“This launch is a significant step toward fostering a future where technology and sustainability coexist to create meaningful impact,” Saleem explained. “We aim to partner with entrepreneurs who are reshaping industries, empowering them with resources, knowledge, and connections to transform their ideas into impactful realities.”
Strategic and financial support
FIA Ventures will focus on offering financial support to startups that develop and leverage AI; companies that build technologies to safeguard businesses, individuals and governments from evolving digital threats; ventures focused on ESG-driven innovation, renewable energy and climate tech; as well as innovations in digital payments, financial inclusion, blockchain, and other emerging technologies driving transformation in the financial sector.
FIA Ventures goes beyond traditional investment, acting as a strategic partner dedicated to nurturing scalable, impactful businesses that integrate innovative technology with sustainability to build a better future for all.
The investment company is now asking startups which are looking to scale their impact, or seeking funding and mentorship, to reach out to explore its investment opportunities and support programmes.
