IXOPAY Launches IXO One, a Modular Payments Platform Built for Agentic Commerce

Payment infrastructure provider IXOPAY has unveiled IXO One, a modular, AI-native platform that brings its orchestration, tokenisation and payments intelligence products together in one place. The pitch to merchants is flexibility: buy the components they need, build the ones that set them apart, and swap providers without tearing up the whole payment stack. General availability of the first unified experience is planned for early 2027.

One platform, three products

Merchants selling across channels, countries and payment methods often end up running a patchwork of acquirers, processors and gateways. Adding a new payment method or market can mean a heavy integration project, and moving away from a provider can mean rebuilding large parts of the stack. Dallas-based IXOPAY is positioning IXO One as the answer to that problem, describing it as the first modular, AI-native payments platform to combine orchestration, payments intelligence and tokenisation in a single offering.

The platform pulls IXOPAY’s existing products under one portal with a common developer experience. Merchants can take ready-made capabilities off the shelf, build their own where it matters, and keep
ownership of their payment service provider connections through an Adapter SDK. Components can be added or removed later, and providers changed, without a full rebuild. IXOPAY says the aim is to cut
provider dependency, costly migrations and the technical debt that builds up when payment stacks are bolted together over time.

Also included is IXO AI, an assistant that lets merchants query their payment data in plain language, see what needs attention and act on what they find

The more forward-looking part of the launch is the Agentic Suite, which prepares merchants for purchases started by AI agents rather than people. It has three parts. A Payment Agent connects merchant-owned shopping agents, IXOPAY-powered experiences and supported third-party agents through a single integration, rather than one per protocol. Universal Tokens let payment data be stored and used across providers and buying experiences without exposing raw card credentials to an agent, with records of the agent’s identity, the customer’s consent and the purchase intent kept to support traceability and disputes. An MCP Server lets approved AI assistants carry out authorised payment and tokenisation tasks, checking existing user permissions, limiting access to authorised vaults, keeping API credentials away from the AI client and logging each action for audit.

IXOPAY chief executive Ajoy Krishnamoorthy frames the launch around buyers who now move between channels, payment methods and countries faster than most payment stacks can follow.

Demand for composable payments

Analysts see the same shift. 451 Research, part of S&P Global, points to payments becoming a boardroom priority, to multi-processor set-ups becoming common, and to merchants wanting to plug into newer commerce frameworks such as agentic commerce and accelerated guest checkout. Its view is that providers should prioritise modular and composable offerings to meet that demand.

Phased roll-out

IXO One will roll out in phases, with general availability of the first unified experience and a new, flexible commercial model planned for early 2027. In the meantime, new and existing customers can continue to buy IXOPAY’s orchestration, tokenisation and payments intelligence products individually, along with its connector network and integration services.

IXOPAY says its orchestration platform recorded an 80 per cent year-on-year rise in transaction count to October 2026 and has supported more than USD 200 billion in payment volume since 2018. It connects merchants to more than 200 payment service providers and 300 payment methods.
